The 6G standardization process will be launched between 2024 and 2025, and the first batch of standard technologies is expected to be launched around 2027 to 2028. With the development of key breakthroughs in 6G technology, its scope is no longer limited to integrated ultra wideband receivers and transmitters. The seamless integration of ground and non ground networks, as well as innovation introduced through artificial intelligence and machine learning, will be at the forefront.

6G is expected to bring a series of innovative technological applications. This includes the use of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), terahertz frequency bands, optical wireless communication (OWC), NTN for high-altitude communication applications, and more immersive extended reality (XR) sensory experiences. Through these advancements, 6G aims to provide revolutionary applications such as holographic projection, tactile communication, and digital twins. With the gradual consolidation of 6G technology standards, low orbit satellites will gradually support 6G communication. It is expected that the global deployment of low orbit satellites will reach its peak before and after the commercialization of 6G.

In addition, it is expected that the demand for unmanned aerial vehicles for 6G communication and environmental sensing will significantly increase in the 6G era.
